A uniform, that was once worn by Friend E. Michael when he attended Claverack College, was donated to the Claverack Historical Society by Mrs. Kenneth Piester of Germantown formerly of Martindale who is a descendant of Michael. The Piester family also donated carefully organized archives including a farming diary and photos of the Michael’s and Coon’s family homestead Martindale. The collection is available to the public by appointment.
